Jeremiah 1:5,7 I knew you
before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations. . . For you must go wherever I
send you and say whatever I tell you.
Security all adults (age
18 and older) serving in Children’s Ministry have passed an application and
background check, and at least one per team is CPR/First Aid certified. Teen
helpers are also required to complete an application that includes
recommendations. At pick up, children are only released to the individual who
returns their matching registration number.
Registration for ages 3 to
10 in Hall A involves a brief registration form at the first visit with name tags
for children and registration numbers for parents. Families with more than one
child from ages 3 to 10 are issued one number for the family.
Discipline is necessary
for maintaining an environment where every child can get the most benefit.
Because we believe that true heart-discipline is personal between parent and
child, the extent of our discipline will be a first-time reminder of proper
behavior, second-time brief removal from the current activity (time out), and
third-time meet with parents. This process will be mainly used for
disobedience, rebellion and insubordination. Children needing comfort or
special ministry will be determined on an individual basis.
Moving classes happens on or
near the child’s birthday from 2-year-old nursery to 3s & 4s classroom to
5-to-10’s children’s church; however, some children may need a different transition,
and we are happy to accommodate whatever is best for the child.
Lost &
Found items can normally be found at the registration table. If not,
please try the Welcome Center in the lobby.
Lessons for home are passed out
each week to compliment Sunday’s lesson and involve the whole family in the
topics being taught in Children’s Church.
Family Worship
refers to our belief from Ephesians 4: 11-12 (NET) that parents are the
God-ordained “apostles (ministry founders), prophets (God’s spokesman),
evangelists (bring sinners to repentance), pastors (feed the sheep), and teachers
(training from God’s word) to equip [their children] for ministry, to build
[Christ’s family] until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the
knowledge of the Son of God – a mature person attaining to the measure of
Christ’s full stature.” Worship is a part of that experience, and we encourage
families to worship together. That may mean that parents may chose to keep
their children with them for part or all of the service in the sanctuary. On occasion, Team Leaders may choose to have
Children’s Church participate in events or programs happening in the main
sanctuary (worship, baptism, special presentations).
Weekly Opportunities Childcare reservations are now required for Wednesday night ages 0-
10 years. Please call the ministry office no later than Tuesday at 4:00 pm to reserve childcare.
I have questions
You have answers
I have wounds
You heal with love
I am weak and you are mighty
Hungry and you fill me up
This was meant to be
When you created me
Chorus:
I was destined to
love you
I was bound to adore you
Purpose to need you
Certain to want you
Designed to pursue you with praise
I was destined to love you
You define me
with your greatness
I am shaped by mercy's hand
It's your word that gives me meaning
Yours forever, great I am
How can joy be known
It's in you alone
Chorus
I am called to worship you
I am called to worship you
I am called to worship you with all my heart
