New to Shiloh?

Whether you’ve been to church or not, you probably have some questions about what to expect if you visit us at Shiloh. Here are some answers to a few things you might have wondered about.  Also, please take a moment to explore our website and find out what’s happening here.

What kind of church is Shiloh?

Although “labeling” is not what we are about, we realize that most people want to know “what kind of church we are”. Simply put, we are an independent, non-denominational, charismatic, multiracial, multigenerational fellowship of Christian believers seeking to be God’s people on the earth. To give you a better idea of ‘who we are’ here are some national ministries that we respect and look to, but have no official affiliation with: Bethany World Outreach Center, Victory Christian Center, Oral Roberts University, Joyce Meyer Ministries, John and Lisa Bevere Ministries, Lakewood Int’l Center, The Potter’s House and others.

What time are your services?

On Sundays we have a service at 10:00am.  On Wednesdays we have a Mid-Week Service with Praise and Worship, Prayer and Teaching beginning at 6:30pm. Please see our calendar, you’ll find many other opportunities.

Where are you located?

Currently Shiloh's office is on the west-side of town at 200 North Avenue, ˝ block north of Fry Blvd. Radio Shack is located on the corner of Fry and North. The majority of our services are held on the east-side of town at our new location of 1519 Avenida del Sol, at the corner of Avenida del Sol and Snyder. Click here to find a map to our new location.

What is your Worship Style?

More than just singing songs, worship at Shiloh is a dynamic blend of styles that is Holy Spirit sensitive, exalts the Name of Jesus and draws hearts and lives to Him.  Our worship is God focused with freedom, exuberance and passionate, engaging music that honors the Lord and draws people to know Him and love Him. You will find us lifting our hands, clapping, dancing, shouting or quietly “soaking” in God’s presence. It’s all about glorifying God in whatever way that honors Him.

What can I expect when I visit?

A friendly, casual atmosphere with lots of smiling faces. We make a special effort to make every person who visits feel comfortable and welcome.  In order to know who our guests are, we will ask you to raise your hand, complete a Visitor’s Card and invite you to a time of fellowship or meet our pastors at the end of the service. None of this is mandatory. Above all, we want our guests to relax and find us to be a loving, caring people who at some time in the past, was also a first-timer! You will not be pressured. Come and see us. We’re expecting you!!

Do I have to dress up?

We are more concerned that you find Shiloh to be a place where your life needs can be met through Jesus Christ. We don’t focus on what people wear or don’t wear. Please dress comfortably. You will see all types- dressed up, casual and very casual. All are welcome.

Do you have a Children’s Program and Nursery?         

Yes, your children will love our Children’s Ministry and our Nursery that are available for all Worship services. More information is available under “Ministries”.

What do you have for teens?

We have a dynamic Youth Ministry that meets on Sunday Afternoons for 13 years and up with Teen Discipleship Classes on Wednesday evenings. Pre-teen have a Junior High Bible Study during our 10am Sunday Service.  We also have Small Groups for this age group.

Can someone pray or talk with me?

We have a wonderful staff of pastors, elders and others who would love to help you in a time of need. One of our ushers would be happy to direct you to someone who will be glad to help you. Almost always we have a time for prayer either during or at the close of every service. Either way, yes, we have someone who will pray or talk with you. How long do your services last?

Our Sunday worship is The Lord’s Day and so we take time to worship, pray and hear the Word of God that helps us to live a Godly life. Because our hearts are in our worship, we don’t rush through our time with God and each other. We do our best to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Normally our services last for one and a half to two hours and it really passes quite quickly.

How can I get involved?

Join us in Sunday or Wednesday worship-Wednesdays are usually smaller and easier to chat before or after the service. Complete the yellow “Welcome Guest” card in Visitor’s packet or “In Touch” form- a tan sheet in our Sunday bulletin-there is a place to let us know how we can help you.
