Pastors & Staff
Pastors Joseph & Carolyn Tumpkin
Senior Pastors

The Lord brought the lives of Joseph L. Tumpkin and Carolyn M. Walton together in Detroit, Michigan.  Their relationship grew and flourished, and now by God’s favor, they have been married for forty-five years. Both graduated from Wayne State University-Carolyn in Nursing and Joseph in Liberal Arts.  After answering the call of God to full-time ministry in 1959, Joseph received the Master of Divinity Degree from Anderson Theological Seminary, the Master of Science in Education from Long Island University and the Doctor of Ministries from Oral Roberts University.

His college and seminary education led him to the US Army, where he served as an Army Chaplain for over twenty-nine years, in Vietnam and Germany as well as many stateside posts.  Before his retirement in 1994, he was promoted to the rank of Colonel.

The Tumpkins birthed Shiloh Christian Ministries in April 1981 where they are seeking to fulfill Shiloh’s end-time call and  be a part of the move of God that will lead their city and the nations to Jesus Christ.  Their deepest desire is to walk worthily and faithfully to the call of God, to see the full vision of Shiloh come to fruition and to continue proclaiming the Gospel with power and authority until Jesus comes!

Pastors Joseph and Carolyn are the proud parents of Christopher (Jaye), Stephen (Holly) and Angela (Ryan), all graduates of Oral Roberts University and grandparents of  Devin, Jadyn, Cristan ‘Dani’, Lauryn, Corey and Taya.

Pastor Angela K. Sedore
Pastor of Christian Education

Angela is the daughter of Senior Pastors Joseph and Carolyn Tumpkin.  Her involvement in ministry has enveloped her entire life.  Over the years, whether working with children or youth, she has had the privilege of ministering to local communities as well as to the nations.

A strong believer in education and academic excellence, Angela Sedore is a graduate of Shiloh Christian School, Oral Roberts University, University of Arizona, and Texas Bible Institute.  She earned her Masters in Christian School Administration at ORU. Before her position as Administrator of Shiloh Christian School, she was the Academic Dean of Texas Bible Institute.  Ordained in 2006, she is now also Pastor of Christian Education.

A seasoned teacher of the Word, Angela demonstrates deep spiritual wisdom, a love and passion for children, a vibrant and radiant personality that reflect her deep love for her Savior.  A quick smile, the heart and song of a worshipper, faith that moves mountains and an undying desire to serve God to the uttermost make Angela a most outstanding woman of God. In March 2011 Angela was married to Ryan Sedore of Vancouver BC Canada. They look forward to an exciting life and ministry together

Pastor Erick and Raquel Villalvazo
Youth Pastor

Erick H. Villalvazo was born in Central Mexico to Luis M. and Ruth Villalvazo, founding pastors of Centro Cristiano Shiloh here in Sierra Vista.  He graduated from Buena High School and University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

His love for God began early in his life, and Erick continued to be a God-seeker through his teens and as a young adult.  He joined the other Villalvazo children in helping their parents in every area of ministry.  Erick’s strong leadership capabilities became very evident in his love for worship and his heart for youth. Recognizing the call of God on his life, Erick was ordained at Shiloh in 2002 and now serves as Youth Pastor.

He has consistently demonstrated spiritual maturity, faithful and excellent leadership, a deep love for God and young people.  In January of 2008 Pastor Erick joyfully married his beautiful bride Raquel.  An outstanding woman of God in her own right, Pastor Erick and Raquel have formed a ‘dynamic duo’ -determined to live out their lives –together- in full service to Jesus Christ.

Pastor Jim and Rose are so very grateful for the tremendous blessing that, exceeding what words can express, Shiloh has been to their lives and to their daughter Pamela, their son Dale, his wife Raquel and their children Talitha, Nathan and Shara. They have faithfully served in Shiloh since its beginning with a consistent spirit of excellence, integrity and devotion to Jesus Christ and His Church.

Pastor David and Brittany James
Director of Worship Arts

Pastor David and Brittany James are the newest members of our Shiloh staff, where Pastor David serves as the Director of the Worship Arts Department. Pastor David and Brittany have spent the last several years involved in different areas of ministry. Along with leading worship and serving at their local church they started a traveling Creative Worship Arts team called “FLASHPOINT”, which is a fire fighters term for the moment when fire reaches its highest temperature and everything around it is consumed and a flash/explosion occurs. “FLASHPOINT’s” desire was to be the missing element that would take people to an all consuming place of worship.

The James’ have taught Biblical facets of worship in many different venues- festivals, prisons, churches, schools and on the mission field. Much of their ministry has been mentoring young people especially musicians. They enjoyed seeing growth not only musically but spiritually. While they loved traveling and seeing God move in their services, for them, nothing compared to seeing individual growth in the lives they ministered to and with.

Not knowing what the next season of their lives would bring, the Lord led them to move back to Arizona where they originally met, married and have family. That, in a good turn and God’s intervention, led them here to Shiloh. Gifted as a Worship Leader, vocalist, and keyboardist, Pastor David also plays drums and brings a wealth of musical and technical experience acquired during his traveling. Ms. Brittany, a strong vocalist and passionate worshipper, joins with her husband in forming a dynamic worship duo. To Pastor David and Brittany, worship means “to temporarily experience what is eternal” and their desire is to bring a growing, intimate, genuine sound of praise and worship here to Shiloh.

Karen joined our Shiloh staff in 2007 as Counselor.  Her dedication and commitment to others is reflected in her ministry to those who are hurting.  She does not hesitate to reach out to those with mental and emotional needs, but her ministry does not stop there; she is also ministers to spiritual needs as well.  Counseling is provided in an individual setting as well as in small groups.  She is a licensed professional counselor with the State of Arizona and has a MS in Counseling Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

While counseling is the passion of her heart, she is also an anointed and gifted speaker.  She has not only preached at Shiloh, but other churches, womenʼs conferences, retreats, and womenʼs meetings.

Karen shares that it is a joy to be a part of Shiloh and to anticipate what God has planned for this church in this community, the surrounding areas, and the world.  It was no accident that the Lord called her to be a part of Shiloh, and she has gladly accepted that call.
